Anna Moesch lowered the American record in the 100-meter freestyle twice in 2026, taking it to 51.88 as a University of Virginia sprinter under Todd DeSorbo. She came up through the Greater Somerset County YMCA under Mary Korey and has credited a shift toward more aerobic and threshold training, including regular time in the distance and IM groups, for her breakthrough.
